Ministries

These ministries include the Crossfire Worship Team as well as the Sound & Media Ministry.

You can easily spot the members of this team at every service. The Greeters are always ready to warmly welcome you into the service. Our ushering team is happy to answer questions & help you get aquatinted with the facilities.

Pre-school - 6th grade: Every Sunday a caring team of people join together to teach the kids about the love of Jesus in fun & creative ways. They learn about the Joy of The Lord through fun music, how to practice the power of prayer and the importance of putting Gods Word to memory. This year many of the kids have earned scholarships for summer camp!

What a great place for those who are new to our church, to meet some of our Leaders. You can count on a friendly hand shake and a gift just for stopping by.

This area is available for little ones 3 months - Toddlers. It is staffed by parents & family members along with qualified church members on a rotation schedule.

These ministries include the different prayer groups, altar assistants, and home & hospital visitation.

This is for people who are wanting to support each other as they figure out everyday life issues from shared personal experiences and a biblical perspective. Issues like marriage, parenting, living single, or healing from divorce in a safe environment. It's also for those who are longing to grow in relationships with God and others on their spiritual journey.

The word “Refuge” means “SAFE”. This ministry is a safe haven for young people to hang out, have fun, and grow in their spiritual journey.

These gals love to have fun while growing in faith & lasting relationships. The year is packed with many choices for connecting, such as Bible Studies, Girlfriend Breakfasts, Pool Parties and Weekend Getaways!

This hospitality team blesses the church every week and at our special events with their delicious food and their servants hearts. They are always happy to welcome another friendly face and helping hand to their team.

The guys love getting together for prayer breakfasts, golf outings, wild game dinners, BBQ's & other events, where they can build friendships and develop their spiritual muscles.

Growing Pains
– Crossfire Church will soon be relocating from 4780 Cornfield Dr., Cedar Springs, to 330 Rockford Park Dr. NE, Rockford. (Presently the American Legion Bldg.)

Why Purchase this Facility?

  • Buildings do not reach and serve people. Effective ministries are the attraction for people to worship at Crossfire Church.
  • The American Legion Building will provide the space, facilities and future expansion opportunities to help Crossfire Church pursue its vision.

Our vision is the blueprint for all of our ministries:

  • Sunday service – Engaging worship, supernatural prayer, loving community, and practical teaching and preaching.
  • Christian Education training for all age groups.
  • Real Life Groups – A place of growth, care, prayer, fellowship and assimilation of people connected to Crossfire Church. Groups start in March, 2019.  Brochures available on Sunday, March 3 and on the website.
  • Refuge Youth Network, Michigan – Engaging youth culture beyond the church walls to make disciples for Christ.
  • Men’s and Women’s Ministries – Bible studies, fellowship, prayer and events designed to give our friends and neighbors an opportunity to make a decision to follow Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
  • User-Friendly Website – Key information, online giving opportunity, podcasts, ministry opportunities and promoting special events.

The Need:

  • Worship service attendance is 80-100% of seating capacity.
  • 80% of our members and regular attendees are actively involved in ministries that require more space for growth and development.
  • Youth and children’s ministries will soon require additional classrooms. In 2018, 15 teens made a decision to follow Christ in our Refuge Youth Network.
  • We need additional kitchen facilities for large gatherings.
  • We will be able to serve our Rockford/Cedar Springs clergy/Church community by having the necessary space and facilities to accommodate larger crowds.

Embracing the Answer – Our Present Goal:

  • The purchase and renovation of the Rockford American Legion Building will enable us to resolve each area of concern and give us opportunities to develop additional space for growth and future ministries.

Partnering Together:

  • Prayer for the upcoming transition.
  • Giving Envelopes available in the foyer and sanctuary.
  • Online giving is available at our website.
  • Prayerfully consider investing in this opportunity to help people grow in their spiritual journey.

Giving Goal:

  1. $150,000 cash by May 15, 2019.
  2. Additional $100,000 to be given from May 2019 – May, 2021 for additional renovation expenses and debt retirement.
  3. Gifts can be cash, check, bank transfers, appreciable investments such as silver, gold, land, and stocks. Call Jordan Buffam at (616) 366-2642 or e-mail him at if you have questions or need help.

Kamal Saleem will be speaking on May 11th & May 12th.

Kamal Saleem was born to a large Sunni Muslim family in the heart of the Middle East. Kamal was recruited by the Muslim Brotherhood at an early age and completed his first mission to Israel at the age of seven. He continued to work on behalf of Islamic Jihad all over the world until, while in America, his world was turned upside down; in 1985 Kamal was seriously injured in an automobile accident. Christian men aided Kamal at the accident scene, and continued to physically and emotionally nurture him back to health. The love and sacrificial giving of these men demonstrated to Kamal the unconditional, redemptive love of Christ and he cried out to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob acknowledging his need for the Savior. Kamal has since become a man on a new mission, as an ambassador for Christ, the one true and living God.

Giving frees us from being self-centered to being God centered.

It is a trait of God's kingdom, because it acknowledges His ownership & Lordship in our lives. Malachi 3:6-12 instructs us to test God by giving our tithes and offerings. May you experience God's blessings as you sow into His kingdom.
